South Africa Partners of InnoFoodAfrica held an Inception Webinar for the Project

The South African team in the InnoFoodAfrica project held an inception webinar providing information on the role of the South African teams in the project. The webinar entitled “InnoFoodAfrica: A project to co-develop locally-driven plant-based value chains for more sustainable African food systems, healthier diets and export opportunities” webinar was  presented on the 3rd of March 2021 to the South African Association for Food Sciences and Technology (SAAFoST).  

This webinar was attended by approximately 97 people who listened to work package leaders  involved in the project discuss different aspects of the project. Specific focus was placed on the reasons Sensory Science inputs are essential to providing answers for stakeholders at various levels of the food value chain, to supply food products that are health-promoting, appealing and acceptable to consumers.
